NETGEAR, 신형 Smart Managed Pro 기가비트 스위치 출시

네트워크 장비 전문 업체 NETGEAR는 PoE(Power-over-Ethernet) 및 광 업링크 용 SFP 포트가있는 4개의 새로운 기가비트 스위치를 출시한다. 이 스위치는 음성, 비디오, 데이터 및 IoT 모두 단일 네트워크 플랫폼에서 최대 보안으로 전송되는 컨버전스 네트워크 용으로 설계된 2세대 Smart Managed Pro 스위치 제품군

여러 규모의 조직에서 VoIP 전화, IP 보안 카메라, VoIP 엔드 포인트, 근접 센서, LED 조명, 보안 액세스 잠금 장치의 배치와 IoT 디바이스가 증가하고, 이러한 장치가 밀접하게 근접하기 때문에 PoE를 지원할 수 있는 네트워크 스위치가 필요하므로 네트워크 관리자가 전력 및 연결을 위해 단일 라인으로 네트워크에 많은 전력을 필요로 하는 장치를 추가 할 수 있다.

새로 출시 된 4개의 새로운 Smart Managed Pro 스위치에는 다음과 같은 향상된 보안 기능도 포함되어 있다.

• DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) 스누핑 - DHCP 요청에 응답해 네트워크 데이터를 클라이언트에 전달할 수 있도록 허용한다. 또한 클라이언트 포트에서 DHCP 요청을 전송하는 트래픽 비율을 제어 할 수 있으므로 개별 클라이언트 또는 액세스 포트에서 DHCP 서비스 거부 (DoS) 공격의 영향을 완화 할 수 있다.

• DAI (Dynamic Address Resolution Protocol) 검사 - DAI는 근거리 통신망 (LAN)에서 ARP 패킷을 검사하고 스위치의 DHCP 스누핑 데이터베이스에 있는 정보를 사용하여 ARP 패킷의 유효성을 검사한다.

이 두 가지 조합은 "공격자"가 다른 유효한 클라이언트의 IP 주소를 사용하여 비밀리에 네트워크 장치 간 통신을 릴레이하거나 변경하는 중간자 공격 (man-in-the-middle attacks)에 대한 보호를 형성한다.

•Multicast VLAN Registration (MVR) - enables multicast traffic to be dedicated to a specific VLAN across a multicast domain so that receivers in other VLANs can join the sources in the dedicated VLAN and received multicast traffic.
•Full IPv6 Support - Reduces network limitations imposed by IPv4 restrictions
•A real power engine - all ports PoE+ enabled with the perfect choice of PoE budgets for the installation of the most power-hungry environments for demanding Small and Medium businesses.
