AMD Athlon II X2

Testbeds Configurations

For our extensive testing of the new dual-core Callisto and Regor processors we decided to compare them not only against the competing Intel solutions but also against their predecessors from AMD, even though they may fall into a slightly different price segment. Therefore, we were working with three different platforms that were configured as follows:

AMD의 신형 칼리스토와 레고르는 같은 K10 아키텍쳐로 설계된 모델로, 레고르와 칼리스토의 차이점은 레고르가 L2캐쉬가 높고, L3캐쉬를 제거, 클럭과 TDP가 좀더 낮다는 점이다.

칼리스토 550은 인텔의 울프데일 7500과 비교시 게임에서 좀더 성능이 높고 인텔이 전통적으로 강한 프로그램들에서는 7500에 뒤쳐진다. 레고르 250은 울프데일 7400과 6300의 중간급 라인업에 포지션되며 전체적으로 칼리스토 550과 레고르 250은 확실히 게임에서 강한 모습을 나타내고 있고 일반 어플리케이션에서는 인텔 듀얼코어가 앞서는 모습을 나타낸다.

전체적인 TDP는 인텔 듀얼코어 모델이 아이들과 로드 모두 우세하다.
